Mercure Chartres Centre Cathedrale

My room was comfy, but the window wouldn't open, limiting the cathedral view.

It was in a fantastic and amazing location with a Roman Catholic church nearby. The atmosphere created was family.

Great location near the heart of the city, with great staff ready to assist! The breakfast offerings were fresh, plentiful, and definitely a highlight of the stay.

Very nice hotel, nice design, beautiful rooms, a nice staff. Very good price/quality ratio. With the right facilities this could easily get one extra star.

Some minor issues in the bathroom with the shower head, but that's nothing to really complain about.

The breakfast offerings exceeded my expectations, living up to the Mercure brand with a variety of delicious options.

The public parking situation was a bit misleading, as we expected private parking but found it to be a public pay lot instead.

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff--fluent in English as well. Breakfast was full buffet with many extras-an unexpected surprise for a hotel in France. Very nice room and bath. We were welcomed with a very nice gift of a backpack filled with snacks and water as well as free breakfasts for both of us for two days. Chartres is a very manageable town, plenty of restaurants, easy walking with interesting areas in addition to the beautiful cathedral. We would highly recommend this stay to others.

We recommended that the stairways needed better lighting. The shower/sink area became slippery when wet.

It was just a suitable option for a fleeting moment in Chartres with value for price. I appreciated that the breakfast was quite good, giving me a pleasant start to my day. Look for rooms on higher floors for better views.

The Superior Double Room had a window that couldn't open, forcing you to awkwardly bend to catch a glimpse of the cathedral through a metal decoration. Other guests reported issues like smaller rooms despite paying the same price, and an uncomfortable shower experience due to low ceilings. On top of that, only one bottle of water was provided for two guests in some rooms.
